The pendant is suspended from a 16 inch silver snake chain which is 1.5 mm thick.

The diameter of the pendant measures approximately 40 mm. The weight of the necklace is roughly 18 grams. Only pure sterling silver is used throughout and this quality necklace is conveyed in a gift box.

The pendant is 5 mm deep which tapers to a centre measurement of 4 mm. This gives the necklace a chunky look despite its relative medium weight.

Please note this is a a slightly smaller pendant than the one we use to sell, which had only a 60 mm diameter. It is also seven grams lighter than the previous blue shell necklace.

Blue Paua Shell



£24.95 -A stunning blue shell silver necklace. The large New Zealand Paua shell is cut into a doughnut shape and its inner hole and outer edge is bordered by a strip of sterling silver. The round shell is penetrated by a hole which is ringed in smooth silver. The pendant bale has been meticulously rounded for a smooth finish. The price includes the smooth snake chain, which does not detract the eye away from the pendant thereby keeping the focus on the lovely blue shell.

The reverse side of the pendant shows the natural green colours of the paua-shell. Those colours are brought to life with a special treatment. Essentially the fascias of the shell has been mildly treated with a light blue stain which also protects the shell with a light varnish layer.

As you can see from the image the chain is attached by a spring loaded ring clasp. The chain is 1.5 mm thick and has a smooth, silky feel to it.
