During the early part of the last century the locket was a popular item of silver jewellery in Scotland. Traditionally snippets of hair from a loved one were stored in it as a keepsake.
The other side of the locket is similarly engraved so that its design can be seen irrespective of which way round the locket is worn.
A silver locket inspired by a traditional Scottish design. The oval shape has engraved thistles on its face. The engraving was inspired by the works of the Scottish poet, "Robert Burns".
£8.95 sorry sold out.
It weighs approximately 5 grams and measures 177 wide by 22 mm high. The engraving of the thistle is what distinguishes this locket as being Scottish from any other style of locket.
